 पापड से प्रकाश की गति का मान 

प्रकाश की गति तीन लाख किलोमीटर प्रति सेकण्ड मापी गयी है. इसे मापने में बड़े बड़ों ने बड़े-बड़े पापड़ बेले |  लेकिन नीचे दी गयी पद्दति से आप घर में  (या किसी दोस्त के घर में ) इसे बस- ऐसे ही -खेल खेल में  पापड़ से माप सकते हैं. 

This photo gives the simplest method to MEASURE the speed of light.  The only thing we need to realise that the whole EM spectrum can be known as the light (not only -the visible reason).   For example, with visible light we see the world, with X-rays we see the bones of our body or, crystal structure, with radio-waves we enjoy the radio programs and TV etc.

So how do you measure the speed with the Papad? ..... Place a papad inside a "microwave oven" without rotating it (remove the glass plate that rotates).  The distance between two crests is half a wavelength. The frequency of the microwave is printed on the oven. Enough details, right?

Check all the details on the  photo. The whiter spots (सफेद हिस्से ) on the papad  (~7 cm away from each other) show the two crests (half the wavelength). The error estimated is about 12-13%- not a bad estimate!

My son helped me to carry out this experiment at home and ate the cooked portion of the papad later. मेरे सुपुत्र ने इस प्रयोग को करने में मदद की, और पके हुए पापड़ के भाग को खाने में  भी |
